Q: As a naturalist in NJ, I really am excited about your website and look forward to incorporating some of your ideas and visuals into my lessons. On the topic of domestic animals, can you suggest any field guides to domestic birds and mammals?
A: Wow, I really had to think about this one!
I know of no guides to domestic animals. My only thought about where you could get information is to look at web sites that discuss the various farm animals that are currently being raised or books on specific animals. Of course, many breeds are no longer being bred for commercial uses and these may be very interesting to learn about.
