Q: But my problem is I only have a scientific name for it and I would like to research it but I can't find what it's non-scientific name is.

It's sceintific name is: Eupatorus graciliconis

Can you help me figure out what kind of bug it is?

A: Believe it or not, you can put a scientific name into Google and it should give you info sources on your subject. I did this and came up with the name of Rhinocerous Beetle. Check out www.insectaculture.com

Wow, what a beautiful insect you have. We tend to think of birds and butterflies as being especially beautiful but a really good look at many kinds of insects shows that they're beautiful too. You must have a great sister!!

Thanks for asking.
