Q: Are freshwater clams edible ?
A: Yes they are. I tried some freshwater clams a couple of years ago but was quite unimpressed with their flavor - yuk. They didn't taste good at all. Maybe there are some species (kinds) that taste good and others that do not but you'd have to experiment.
