Birds in Germany

Q: Can you recommend a good book (field guide sized), written in English, for bird watching in Germany and Europe in general. I have always preferred the Peterson style, but would like to hear from people in the know what the preferred book generally seems to be.
A: Well, I guess I'm biased but I prefer using the Peterson Guides. Peterson illustrated a guide for European birds that's in print and should be easily available from this source. Check out www.houghtonmifflinbooks.com
