Eggs

Q: How does one tell the difference between snake eggs and lizard eggs?

A: To the best of my knowledge, you can't tell one from the other simply by looking at them. Both lizards and snakes lay leathery eggs and these can vary a great deal in their shape and size. Of course, if you can wait and see the eggs hatch, you'll know but that's easier said than done.

Shortly before the eggs hatch, they should collapse a bit and when they do you may want to gently open one and see what is inside. Opening the egg may kill the baby so do this only if you really feel you need to know. If you have lots of lizards around your home, I'd figure these are lizard eggs but that would only be a guess. Sorry I can't give you a definite answer. Good luck.
