Pine Parenthood

Q: What months of the year do white pines lose their needles in northern Ontario?
A: Boy, you'd think this was an easy question to answer but I'm having trouble. The Eastern White Pine keeps its needles for 2 to 3 years and then loses them in the fall but I can't remember exactly which month(s) this occurs. I've looked in many sources and no specific months are given (of course this can vary across their North American range). I'll keep looking and see what I can find.
