Q: why do they call it goosebumps?

State: Texas

A: If you've ever looked at a chicken or goose without feathers before it was cooked, you'd see lots of little bumps where the feathers were attached. When we're cold, our skin looks a lot like the skin of a goose so people began calling it "goosebumps". At one time, everyone knew exactly what we were talking about but today, people rarely see a chicken or goose before it is cooked so aren't familiar with the term. Hope this helps.
