Q: we found 2 killdeer eggs today. the mom and dad abbandond the eggs so we took them inside at about 1130 p.m. how do we keep them alive should we put them in our boobies/bras or should we put them in warm water cuz i dont have an incubator...?

A: Please, please, please put the eggs back! The parents probably were waiting until you were well away before they dared return. You aren't going to be able to hatch these eggs so no point in trying. I realize your intentions are good but it's always best to leave nature take care of its own. I'll bet the parents returned to an empty nest! No way to be sure, but if you immediately return the eggs, they MAY accept them. Touching the eggs won't keep them away but having the eggs missing might - I can't be sure. Good luck to you.
