Q: Is a centipede poisonus?

A: All centipedes are carnivores so feed on other animals. They have poison glands in their mouthes that help them subdue their prey once it is caught. The larger centipedes can bite (if they can break your skin) but their bite is not dangerous, just painful. Hope this helps.
