Eating fertilized chicken eggs.

Q: Are there any side effects of eating fertilized eggs?
A: Absolutely none! The only difference between a fertilized and an unfertilized egg is a single sperm cell - not much difference. Here in the U.S., almost all of our eggs are produced in large chicken "factories" where the hens have no access to males so all of their eggs are infertile. Free-range chickens may have access to males and these may be fertile. Hope you're not paying more for fertile eggs! If so, it's just a marketing ploy. Hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
