eye of a crayfish

Q: what is the eye of a crayfish like?

Habitat: pond/lake

State: California

Habitat: pond/lake

A: Crayfish eyes are on stalks that stick up above their head. Their eyes are compound, much like insect eyes - they have many tiny "eyes" making up each left and right eye. Crayfish have reasonably good eyesight but use their feelers for much interpretation of their environment. Thanks for asking.
