Q: when a female cone is pollinated the cone does what?

State: Florida

A: Once the female cone is pollinated, it begins to grow and develop into the pine cone we're familiar with. Once its growth is finished, there are seeds inside that fall to the ground as the cone's bracts (scales) open. Thanks for asking.
