Bird

Q: For the past three hours a bird resembling a Tanager comes to the ledge of my window and pecks at the glass. The window is up high and does not have a shade. I thought it was because she sees her reflection but still does it when I put a mop where she is. She just flies to another part of the window. I'm afraid she's going to hurt herself. The window is too high for me to put something there to repel her. Thank you.
A: I'm almost certin you're right - the bird is seeing its reflection. If you can't mask the window so it isn't reflecting, there really isn't much I can suggest. Your bird may stop after a day or so but maybe not. Anyway you see if you can squirt some shaving cream on the window. If you can get it on the outside of the glass, that should work. Best of luck.
