Frog ID

Q: Have 3 frogs that have adopted my garden pond. I'm not sure if they are bullfrogs. They are about 4"-5" when "seated". They are dark green with lighter green on their heads—only part of the year. They have dorsal ridges, but sound LOUD. Could they be juveniles? Where could I find pics to make sure?? Betty
A: The lighter green on the head and the presence of dorsal ridges suggest Green Frogs. Bullfrogs lack the bright green on the head and their dorsal ridges wrap around the tympanum (ear). I have images and vocal recordings posted at vernalpools.enaturalist.org if you want to confirm.
