Q: Are there any tree frogs in Vermont?? If so where are they?
Habitat: pond/lake
State: Vermont
Habitat: pond/lake
A: Yes there are. The Gray Tree Frog and Spring Peeper are both reasonably common in Vermont. In fact, right about now (April 12) you are probably hearing Peepers in local ponds and tiny wet areas. The Gray Tree Frogs will begin calling later in the spring. Once the breeding season is over, these frogs return to wooded areas and live among the trees and shrubs. These guys are extremely difficult to locate since they blend in so well with their surroundings but every once in awhile, someone finds one of these small frogs.
