What's in a Name?

Q: What are the different names for snails? Thank you.

A: Snails, also known as gastropods, are a kind of mollusk that live in both saltwater and freshwater. Gastropods have a single shell (unlike bivalves that have two) that is usually coiled, they have a distinct head and a rasping tongue.
