Goosebumps

Q: Why are goosebumps called goosebumps and not humanbumps?
A: If you look at the skin of a plucked (feathers removed)goose or chicken, you can see all of the places where the feathers were attached. Each spot has a bump that looks like our skin when we get these bumps. People must have made the connection between the goose's skin and ours and began calling them goosebumps.
