Reindeer

Q: What is the difference between reindeer and caribou?
A: The only difference is that they live on different continents. Both the Caribou and Reindeer are given the same scientific name of Rangifer tarandus . There are some minor differences in Caribou in various North American populations and I believe that those in Eurasia are a bit different from those in the New World but these are minor so they all still considered one species. Thanks for asking.
