Antlers

Q: Are their scientific terms applied to 1)the dropping of antlers and 2) the removal of velvet?

A: Wow, your question really got me - it made me think. I checked out several sources of info on the subject and couldn't find any scientific term that refers to antler drop nor velvet shed processes but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There seems to be a term for almost everything in science but I couldn't find one on this. I'm stumped. Sorry.
