Q: is there a correct term for a baby salamanders other than larval salamander?

A: Interesting question. You'd think since we have a specific name for immature frogs (tadpoles or pollywogs) that there would be a specific name for immature salamanders too. To the best of my knowledge, however, there is no name for immature salamanders other than larval, immature, or juvenile. If you do discover a name, please be sure to share it with me because I couldn't find any information other than what I've shared. Thanks for your question. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
