Q: Hi, i just found a wold spider, and I was quite curious about how many **range** of babies they have. Any answers?
Habitat: forest/open woods

A: Wolf Spiders are neat animals and some of our most common spiders. There are about 100 different species of Wolf Spiders in the U.S. and Canada. I'm glad you asked for a range of babies since I don't know of any good sources that give details on baby Wolf Spider numbers. I personally have seen Wolf Spiders with well over 30 babies on her back and can easily believe that many species have many more than that. During the summer you may want to keep an eye out for Wolf Spiders to see if you can find a female with babies on her body then you can try to count them or at least get a feel for how many there may be. Thanks for your question and I'm sorry I can't be more specific.
