Q: what type of questions can be used to investigate pond animals and their surroundings?
A: I think the best way for me to help you with this investigation of pond animals is to pose a different question for you that you're probably more comfortable about answering. If I were to ask to you investigate the people of San Francisco and their surroundings, what kinds of questions might you ask? Once you know what kinds of questions to ask, you can begin to get answers.
You could find out who lived there, what kinds of jobs people had, was one part of town different than another, how do people get around town, what was the weather like throughout the year, did the population change over the year, and so on. If you think about how you might investigate people living in a city, you can apply that approach to an investigation of animals living in a pond. Obviously, you'll need to "tweek" your questions a bit for pond animals but this should get you started. Give this a try and see what you can come up with. If you have more questions, let me know.
Good luck.
