Q: Do you have any photographs of the species of carrion beetle with the scientific name of Thanatophilus Lapponicus?

Thank you,

A: Just returned home and was able to access some of my reference material on insects. As you probably already know, the family that includes the burying beetles is Silphidae with two common genera, both Silpha and Nicrophorus here in North America. I couldn't find anything in my material that mentioned the genus Thanatophilus but was able to google the genus and species you gave me and came up with these two websites. Not the greatest photos but this should get you started. Thanks for your question - I learned some things too!!
