Just A Sparrow

Q: Hi,
We have a sparrow nest in dryer vent which leads to outside? We dont want to remove the birds but at the same we are time concerned? Any suggestions.
Thanks

A: The best thing you can do for the birds is not use the dryer until they leave. Depending on the stage they're at, you'll have a few weeks of hanging clothes out in the sun to dry - might be nice to smell those freshly sun-dried clothes.
Keep an eye on the nest and when the babies leave, you can remove the nest (the babies won't return). Be sure then to cover the exit hole with screening so you don't have a "repeat performance".
Good luck and thanks for your question.
