Q: Do beavers carry material for their dam in their mouth, forepaws or both?
A: Beavers move their food and building materials in the pond with their mouth. If they tried to use their paws, it would be very difficult for them to swim and carry at the same time. Beavers do use their paws to pack mud into their dams and lodge though. Thanks for your question
