Mike_HamiltonBELOW THE HORN: a birding trip to South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula

Wednesday, 24 March 2010, 7:30pm - 9:30pm

Mike Hamilton is a past president and long time member of the Buffalo Ornithological Society and has been chasing birds all over the United States and Canada for some time. In addition to his trip to Antarctica he has also been to Kenya, the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico (social, but there were birds to be seen!), the mountains of Ecuador and just recently to Australia for a much too short 5 ½ days visit with his daughter on her 50th birthday. In November of 1995 he joined a group of about 40 birders on Wing’s second trip to South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. This presentation is a photographic record of what was a fascinating and wonderful expedition.

This Below the Horn presentation by Mike Hamiton is made possible by the Roger Tory Peterson Ornithological Club. It meets the last Wednesday of every month except June, July & August at 7:30 PM.
